Business Celebration - 1 year at Group Accountability with Sally Triner Holistic Massage Practitioner
Sally Triner is a holistic massage practitioner who eases tired aching muscles, relieves stress or simply offers a pampering treat for some valuable 'time out’. She offers a mixture of any of her treatments tailored to the clients needs, which can include Tsuboki Japanese Acupressure Facial Massage, Indian Head Massage or Pregnancy/Lymph Drainage massage.
When Sally joined my Accountability Group a year ago, she was mainly working from the peaceful treatment room in her house and was feeling a little disorganised around clients and managing her own time. She was also looking for more clients and to feel like she was running a ‘proper’ business!
A year later, Sally now has a fortnightly practice at a media agency in Castlefield, Manchester, spends 1/2 day at Bramhall Osteopathic Practice and 1/2 day at Amaranth Natural Health Shop in Bramhall, as well as practicing in her own treatment room. She sometimes still struggles with managing her own time but is better at managing her clients, taking payments, cancellation charges and getting re-bookings. Her weeks are now booked up in advance, so she has lots of new regular clients and definitely feels like she is running a ‘proper’ business. In fact she now says: ‘It took 10 years to become an overnight success’
Fantastic news and congratulations Sally!
This is what Sally says about 'Group Accountability’:
“It’s a funny thing working on your own...something you dream of while employed for years in a corporate world...”won’t it be great to make my own decisions... no office politics...”
Well it is great!
But it can also be quite lonely, all consuming and the lines between your personal /family time & work can be blurred.
That’s where Karen steps in with her Group Accountability. I’m sure I’m
Not alone thinking that I know what I should be doing - well many of us have had earlier careers where decision making is second nature but when it comes down to making practical business decisions about your own business.. which is just You.. it feels personal and a bit of a grey area.
Karen cuts through that chatter in my head- and helps me get to the core of what I want to do, why, where and how - & to be honest gives me a monthly kick up the bum to keep me focused - all done in a positive way of course!!!!
But then there’s the added bonus of the support and trust of the other group members - we are all in it together and it is such a boost every month.
Karen’s straight talking common sense and my Group are a big part of my journey this year and I also have a great new bunch of friends who I know have my back as much as I have theirs.
Thank you Karen for making this happen !!!”

Karen Lee is the owner/director of @Cheshire Mortgage Group, giving mortgage and life assurance brokerage. Karen’s huge asset is that she is very down to earth, friendly and approachable, which is not what you usually expect from a financial services professional. She definitely doesn’t wear a suit!
When Karen joined one of my Accountability Groups a year ago, she had been working for herself for 5 years as ‘Karen Lee - Mortgage Advisor’ and already had an advisor and a personal assistant working with her. Her main objective was to launch ‘Cheshire Mortgage Group’, take on more staff and grow the business.
During the last year, supported by the Group Accountability sessions, Karen has rebranded her business as ‘Cheshire Mortgage Group’, had a big launch event and been in several Cheshire newspapers.
She now has a team of 5, who have almost 80 years experience between them and is contracted to receive clients from 5 Cheshire Estate Agents.
Karen is very keen to raise money for two charities close to heart; Chelwood Food Bank in Stockport and the national charity Hounds for Heroes, which provides specially trained assistance dogs for injured and disabled military and emergency service workers. To date she has raised more than £4,000 has pledged to raise at least £20,000 within five years through a combination of her own endeavours and fundraising with Cheshire Mortgage Group.
Karen’s goal is for ‘Cheshire Mortgage Group’ to be the go to place for all mortgages in Cheshire. Which I have no doubt she will achieve, as she is a very ambitious and determined lady.
It’s onwards and upwards for Karen, congratulations!
This is what Karen says about being part of an Accountability Group:
'I booked on to Karen's Accountability Group from Project Complete and not really sure what to expect. I thought it would be full of entrepreneurs who knew loads about expanding a business and even though I had one I didn't know that much. I was expecting to feel intimidated.
It wasnt like that at all, Karen made me feel very welcome as did the other members. Everyone is in the same boat!
Karen heard what my vision was and helped me break it down into sections. She advised me on certain ideas and how to approach them & guided me on different ways of looking at my objectives.
Without Karen i wouldn't have moved forward as much as i thought. She gave me the confidence to do so and made me "accountable " for what I said I was going to do from the last meeting.
When you are self employed its easy to do things in your own time as you haven't got anyone giving you deadlines, you are your own boss. This group made me disciplined enough to follow through each stage of the plan.
I highly recommend joining this group for anyone who has an established business or starting out.
Thanks again xx'

Business Celebration - 1 year at Group Accountability with Bill & Betty Tea Room, Gifts & Outside Caterers
Jayne Lomas is the owner of Bill & Betty Tea Room, Gifts & Outside Caterers on Wilmslow Road, Cheadle. Which is a vintage inspired tea room, a home from home and a place you’ll want to bring your friends over & over again. I also can highly recommend the food, it is amazing!
When Jayne joined my Accountability Group a year ago, she had been running the tea room for a few years, had started holding themed events but she felt the business was lacking some direction and she needed a website.
During the last year, supported by the Group Accountability sessions, Jayne has concentrated on her niche and nailed down her direction. The business now specialises in afternoon teas (where you can have afternoon tea any day and don’t have to book), external catering events and the most amazing food platters. Jayne now runs a few themed events each month from Harry Potter, Mad Hatters Tea Party, Psychic Suppers, Ladies Nights, Cheese, wine & shopping evenings as well as special Christmas, Mothers Day and Fathers Day afternoon teas. The very clever Jayne has also recently developed her own website, take a look at: https://billandbetty.co.uk
Jayne loves to decorate the tea room and her and her staff dress up in costume for lots of the themed events. If you’ve not been to one, then you need to go.
Watch out for lots of things being planned at ‘Bill & Betty’s’ and congratulations Jayne on growing your business in the past year!
This is what Jayne says about 'Group Accountability':
"Wow where has the year gone!!!!!
I started working with Karen a year ago, by signing up with a small group of other business ladies to be part of her monthly accountability meetings, and wow, wasn’t expecting that.
Karen is genuinely lovely & I feel at ease with her, she cares about you & your business and she offers useful & rewarding ideas, that are for you, but also part of the discussion with your accountability group. She has definitely installed more confidence & given me more focus to grow my business."

Sian Pelleschi is the owner of Sorted, a decluttering and organising service. Where no job is too big or too small.
When Sian joined my Accountability Group a year ago, she was 8 months pregnant with her 2nd child and had been running Sorted for about 2 years. She wasn’t sure what direction she wanted the business to go in, wasn’t happy with her pricing structure and in her words felt a bit of an imposter!
Fast forward a year and what a different Sian we see today. Sian is a very confident, stylish business owner, mother of two children, 3 years and a 1 year old and a very busy person. She has recently had a 2 page feature article in Cheshire Life, has been asked by BBC Breakfast News for an interview (which she couldn’t make!) and been on local radio.
She has had professional photographs taken for her website and social media, updated her pricing structure, started a collaboration with Savvy Style and has a waiting list of about a month. And best of all she no longer feels like an imposter.
Watch this space - this lady is going places! Congratulations Sian.
This is what Sian says about Group Accountability:
"I’ve loved being part of an accountability group. It’s introduced me to other business women and their businesses that I never thought I’d meet. I’ve watched them grow from strength to strength and can honestly say it’s been a privilege to be able to help them grow by being part of a sounding board for ideas and thoughts and offering my own advice from time to time. Not only has it helped my own business grow, I’ve built a friendship group that I now trust wholeheartedly. I can’t wait until our next meet and I’ll hold my hands up when I say it really does give you a big bum kick every month to crack on and keep going!"

Zoë Oughton is the owner of Relaxing Reflexology, where you can enjoy the wonderfully relaxing holistic therapy of Reflexology in the comfort of your own home.
When Zoë joined my Accountability Group a year ago, she had just sold her Vintage Afternoon Tea business and wanted to ramp up her reflexology business to gain more clients. Zoë had qualified in Reflexology in 2013 but had always run this business part-time, she was very keen to keep improving her skills and had trained in Reflexology Lymph Drainage and Maternity Reflexology.
Fast forward a year and this is how Zoë’s reflexology business looks today. She has been on more training to qualify in Reflexology to aid Natural Fertility, Aromaflex and Hot Stone Reflexology. As well as being mobile, Zoë is now based above Stranz Hairdressers in Hale on Mondays and Bramhall Osteopathic Practice on Tuesdays.
She has had fantastic results with maternity reflexology and two of her natural fertility clients are now pregnant! She has been on local radio, had professional photographs taken and raised her prices.
Best of all, she has gained so many new clients that if you want to see her mobile, you now need to book 3/4 weeks in advance.
All fantastic news and it’s onwards and upwards for Zoë.
Here's what Zoë says about Group Accountability:
“I can’t tell you how much group accountability has helped me, both professionally and personally. It’s so uplifting to be able to share experiences with like-minded female business owners who encourage, support and motivate you at all times . Karen is a brilliant business mentor who supports you all the time, not just at that meeting, I couldn’t do without our lovely group accountability group “
