"I have been working with Karen for just over 12 months now. I have been in business for 12 years and we have grown year on year. Over the recent few years I became aware that I had been using a very unorganised, reactive approach to my marketing. Also, my business had reached a stage where I felt that future growth would not come as easily as past growth. I decided to try to take more control over my business and looked for consultants who could help me to achieve this.
I met Karen through a networking group and felt immediately that I could work with her. She offers a no-nonsense approach which I liked. The initial meeting focussed on what I was doing well, and looked at avenues for growth which I felt weren't being fully optimised. We decided on a growth target which at first felt quite high, but achievable by splitting it into quarterly targets. It was very exciting to meet Karen on a monthly basis and go through the figures, and I could see that our plans were having a significant effect.
After a few months we were able to see what was working and what wasn't so I could then focus on the more effective actions. After 12 months my business is averaging 15% growth year on year, with our usually quietest month August up a staggering 30% on the same time last year!
As a small business owner, it has also been very useful sitting down with someone one a regular basis - we call it an accountability meeting. It means that I have to do a report on my business on a regular basis, which means that I have my eye on the ball at all times and feel much more in control.
I will certainly continue to work with Karen and I can highly recommend her services to any small business owner who is serious about growing the business."
